Perth
After hearing “West is Best” over and over again, my boyfriend and I decided to find out for ourselves whether or not the other side of Australia lived up to all the hype.
We are happy to report that it certainly did!
My highlights from Perth were watching the sun set at Scarborough Night Markets, exploring the Botanical Gardens and, of course, Rottnest Island.
The four days that we spent exploring the city, suburbs and Rottnest Island were not even close to enough. In fact, I've already put an alert on my phone for any upcoming flight sales from the Gold Coast. Another visit is not a want, but a need!

Margaret River
After spending five days in the Margaret River region, I am seriously tempted to move there. Everything about it is so appealing and dreamy… the laidback lifestyle attracting surfers and tourists alike, the most delicious local produce, the talented winemakers in the ever-so-scenic wineries, the most picture-perfect beaches and the strong sense of a tight-knit community.
We did visit in peak season and I have to keep reminding myself that it gets rainy and cold in winter, however I just can’t imagine it being anything other than pure bliss.
